Hi, I just thought I would give you some feedback.  I saw Dennis Strudwick today in relation to his late wife.  I have known Dennis for some years and was so sad to hear about Doris passing away.  Dennis explained about how he had been to see her after she had died and he cried when he told me how beautiful she looked with her nails painted and a lovely "going out" outfit on.  He said he had been worried about seeing her as he had seen his father in law and his son after they had died and his lasting memory of them was that image, but he was glad he had been as his memory of her now was beautiful.  I just thought we don't give feedback enough so I would email you.

On a personal note I attended Mr S's funeral in January at his home.  You made what was an extremely difficult time, seamless and beautiful.

Just a quick thank you for all the kindness and consideration you showed to my daughter and myself in the way that Barry's funeral was conducted, and before and after the service, in as much that each time we met up you knew our names and what we were coming for.

Where the service was held in the little room was just so nice as it was private and serene.   Everyone that attended said how unusual it was just to have a memorial reading with no hymns and prayers.

My mother died on 5th March 2016 and I contacted Oaklands Funeral Service from the internet.  It was the best thing I ever did.  From the first phone call the arrangements were completely taken care of.  I dealt with Becky, who was outstanding and recommended an Officiant, James Rushman, to take charge of the service to be held in Oaklands Chapel on their premises.

Well the funeral could not have Blessgone better, Mum would have been so pleased with the arrangements and to see all her friends in attendance.  I could not recommend this Funeral Service more highly, exceptional, and every detail dealt with kindness and consideration.

Dear Becky,

As you know, arranging the funeral was difficult for us as we are not Miss B's relatives and there were no close family to consult so we had to plough our own furrow.  Your advice was invaluable and nothing was too much trouble for you.  We had a few qualms before the funeral, especially about the recorded music, and you reassured us that it would turn out fine.  Well it did not turn out fine: it turned out excellently.  The music on the CD that you produced came across splendidly and although there were 20 in the congregation we needed the extra voices.  Your recommendation for the funeral director on the day was a perfect choice: she was so comforting and organised us all in a gentle and unassuming manner (and so smart too!).  You must be very proud of your Mum Liz as she clearly is of you.  Miss B would undoubtedly have approved of having a woman funeral director and minister at her funeral.

Karen Young from St. Paul's Church also did a wonderful job.  Even though we gave her some notes it requires a great talent to be able to stand before strangers and talk about someone that one has never met with great sincerity.

We came home and agreed the funeral could not have been bettered.

We are so pleased that we entrusted the funeral to Oaklands who seem to have found the perfect blend of professionalism and friendliness.  Thank you so much.
